Approximately 120 faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends of Nebraska Wesleyan University joined President Fred Ohles and Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert on August 12 for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating NWU's new Omaha location.

The fall semester at Nebraska Wesleyan University officially began Monday, August 26. But first year students in Karla Jensen’s liberal arts seminar, “The Liberal Arts of Yoga,” started their academic year early learning the historical, psychological, economical, and political aspects of yoga.

They started on Sunday, August 18 with a class on basic breathing techniques.

For the fifth consecutive year, Nebraska Wesleyan University has been named a Tree Campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation.

Tree Campus USA is a national program created in 2008 to honor colleges and universities for effective campus forest management and for engaging staff and students in conservation goals.
