Travels in Identity: Spain with Dr. Chelsea Klinkebiel

Where: Barcelona, Madrid, Toledo, and Sevilla, Spain 

What: Explore identity in Spain through many immersive experiences in several cities. In addition to learning from faculty and students in Spain, we will engage in many immersive experiences such as a cooking class, a Flamenco dance workshop and performance, tours of historical sites, and architectural tours. 

Who: Any University student 19 and older, any major 

Earn NWU Credits: Students who take IDS 2040-01 (8-week course in Spring 2025) and participate in this study abroad trip can earn: 2 credits toward Identity Thread, DEI: Global Diversity, and Experiential Learning-Intensive Credits. Students may participate in study abroad trip to Spain without taking IDS 2040-01 (would not earn academic credit), if desired. 

Estimated Cost: $3,700-4,100, depending on number of students attending. This cost does not include airfare. 

Application and first deposit deadline: Applications and a $600 non-refundable deposit are due by January 26th, 2025.
