A Mediterranean cooking class and a beach day are also part of our time in Athens. We will stop at the ancient city of Mycenae prominent in Greek mythology and inspiration to poets, writers, and artists through the centuries. In Olympia, we will visit the site of the ancient Olympics and tour the Museum of the History of the Olympic Games as well as the 5th century BCE architectural marvel of the Temple of Zeus.
