Academic Dishonesty and Student Conduct

Academic Dishonesty

What is academic dishonesty? Academic dishonesty encompasses such activities as cheating, plagiarism, unauthorized collaboration, misrepresentation and bribery. Refer to Section 6 of the Code of Student Conduct, which provides a comprehensive listing of misconduct that is subject to disciplinary sanctions, as well as relevant terms and definitions.

If I suspect academic dishonesty, what do I do? Follow NWU's Academic Dishonesty procedure. The flowchart provides a quick visual review of procedures. Complete and submit the Academic Dishonesty Report form. The form includes two reporting options: 1) for reporting purposes only or 2) for review through the Student Conduct System.
