About 340 undergraduates are expected to walk across the stage and receive their Nebraska Wesleyan University diplomas on Saturday, May 17.

For most of those graduates, it was a four-year journey. For one member of the Class of 2014, it took a bit longer — 81 years longer.

The country’s oldest local sorority is celebrating a milestone.

On April 26-27, current and former Willard Sorority members will celebrate the Greek organization’s 125th anniversary, just one year after Nebraska Wesleyan University celebrated the same milestone.

Nancy Newman, director of Student Health Services, has been named one of the state's "best nurses."

At the April 14 campus staff meeting, representatives from the Lincoln Journal Star stopped by and surprised Newman with an announcement that she was named one of the best in the newspaper's annual "Best Nurses in Nebraska" contest. 

Nebraska Wesleyan University will screen the documentary "Komora: To Heal." The film follows orphan survivors of the 1994 Tutsi genocide in Rwanda and the people who stepped in to raise them.

The documentary screening will be held Wednesday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m. in Callen Conference Center.
