Nebraska Wesleyan University is seeking a full-time Gift and Data Manager Assistant working within the Advancement Services department who will be responsible for gift entry, data processing, data integrity, constituent records and donor acknowledgements to ensure that all contributions and pledges are accurately recorded in the database, and that donor acknowledgements and receipts are sent in compliance with donor acknowledgement standards. This position provides editorial duties related to Alumni Class Notes for Archways magazine. This position provides information from the biographical and gift record systems to the Nebraska Wesleyan University community.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and accurately keep current the gift record system and acknowledgment processing of gifts and pledges received by Nebraska Wesleyan University.
  • Manage and maintain gift forms.  Make adjustments to past gifts as appropriate, research and answer questions of other Advancement staff. 
  • Write gift processing procedures and workflows for Advancement Services manual.
  • Work with the business office to balance accounts and provide information to the business office about gift processing.
  • Assist with audit as needed.  Adhere to established audit controls, security measures and confidential/privacy standards.
  • Respond to donor and gift inquires while delivering excellent customer service and performing any necessary follow-up.
  • Perform technical setup for gifts.  Keep informed and up to date about compliance with IRS regulations, FASB accounting principles and CASE standards related to gifts.
  • Update CRM constituent records with biographical information, including employment, family relationship, and all other relevant constituent information.
  • Provide biographical and gift record information to members of the Advancement staff and the NWU community.
  • Manage gift session, publication, and other pertinent documentation within CRM or the shared drives.
  • Serves as Alumni Class Notes writer and editor providing alumni information for the Archways magazine.
  • Prepare annual plan of work including specific goals, expected results, standards of performance and budgetary needs.
  • Co-manages the ISADV and ADV-gifts email folders.
  • Researches biographical updates and changes for data integrity.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree preferred or two years gift entry or other related experience.
  • One year of data entry, database experience required. Financial background preferred.
  • Able to learn and retain detailed and unique gift and data entry processing.
  • Must be familiar with computer records systems, and data retrieval.
  • Must be able to respond positively to frequent shifts in deadlines; must be able to work   well under pressure and meet scheduled and unscheduled deadlines.
  • Must be able to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Must be accurate, detail orientated and responsive to changes in procedures and policies.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Should be personable and cooperative.
