NWU transition to new wireless networks

Published

CSIT will be retiring the NWU-wireless and the NWU-wireless24 networks shortly after the start of the Fall Semester.  With this transition, we will also be abandoning the on-boarding web site (nwuwifi.nebrwesleyan.edu); it is no longer necessary for the new network architecture.)

The new wireless networks - available for use now - are nwu-wifi and nwu-legacy.  The preferred network is nwu-wifi (a 5GHz Network); nwu-legacy is for older devices (able to use only 2.4GHz networks).

Joining your Windows, Mac OS or iOS devices to the new NWU networks is as simple as selecting the network, entering your NWU username and password when prompted, and, if prompted, accepting a security certificate. (Chromebooks and Android-based devices require some manual configuration.  Instructions are available from the CSIT Office.)

We recommend joining the new NWU wireless networks as soon as possible.
