Study Abroad with Modern Language
When you choose a modern languages major, you’ll study abroad for at least one semester. Before you go, we’ll fully prepare you with our individualized attention in language classes and courses specifically designed for study abroad. During your semester away, you’ll take our “Engaging in Study Abroad” course. And when you come back, we’ll help you process your experience with a post-international study course.
No matter where your language takes you, we’re there for support throughout your journey.
Many of our seniors choose an additional international experience for their senior capstone project. You’ll work with your advisor to design your customized project.
One popular option is an international internship. Our students have interned in a medical clinic and provided physical therapy assistance in an orphanage in Guatemala, created marketing for a local business in Chile and led professional workshops in France.
With an NWU Modern Language Studies major, the world is yours.
