In Light of Millard School Tragedy, NWU Students Reminded of Counseling Services

Published

As we continue to reflect on the recent tragedy in Millard, we know it's likely that you may know students, teachers and the staffs in both Lincoln and Omaha who were directly impacted by the shooting. Dealing with this type of tragedy is difficult even when you are indirectly impacted.

Please remember that counseling services are available to you through the university's Career & Counseling Center.

Personal counselors are available Monday through Friday. You can simply call for an appointment at 465.2224 or stop by the Career & Counseling Center, located in the lower level of the student center. If you need after-hours counseling, the university has arrangements with Community Mental Health Center of Lancaster County. That number is 402.441.7940.

In addition, please remember that University Minister Rev. Mara Bailey is also available to meet with students. You can reach her at 465.2398 (work), 515.240.2180 (cell), or email mbailey [at] nebrwesleyan.edu (mbailey[at]nebrwesleyan[dot]edu).
