Student Health Services

Rapid COVID-19 testing available by appointment with RN

Student Health Services is located at the north entrance of Burt Hall. In addition to providing high quality health care services , our goal is to foster a level of awareness that helps students participate in their own care.

Student Health Services provides a variety of services to traditional undergraduate students during the academic year. We provide:

  • Assessment
  • Emergency care
  • Treatment for minor illness
  • Health counseling
  • Community referral
  • Rapid COVID-19 testing is available by appointment with the RN and only when the APRN Provider is not in the office. Schedule an appointment with the RN for rapid COVID-19 testing.

You may also schedule an appointment with the APRN Provider for medical services.

Medical History Form & Immunization Requirements

As part of the admissions process, new and transfer students in the traditional undergraduate program will need to submit a Medical History form and Immunization Form documenting required immunizations.

Filling Prescriptions off Campus
Prescriptions can be filled at any pharmacy. Some over-the-counter drugs are available at Student Health Services.

Student Insurance Policy
Nebraska Wesleyan University recommends that all full-time traditional undergraduate students carry health insurance.

Student Health Services is committed to protecting your medical, mental health and personal information. In conducting our business, records will be created from the treatment and services provided to you. We are required by law to maintain the confidentiality of your health information and will not disclose such information without your written authorization except as may be required or allowed by applicable privacy laws.

Fees
Most services provided by Student Health Services are free to full-time traditional, undergraduate students. Some services have fees assessed to defray special costs not covered by student fees. These costs are typically well below those charged by other health providers.
