ALERT: Scheduled network service interruption between Lincoln and Omaha

There will be a brief interruption of the network connection between our Lincoln campus and Omaha site tomorrow (Friday, 8/21).  The service interruption will begin at about 5:00pm and is expected to last no longer than 30 minutes.

The purpose of the planned interruption is to allow us to complete the installation of a new UPS which supports the network switch on the Lincoln end of the network connection between the two sites.  This UPS failed about two weeks ago and, though replaced by our network transport provider, the UPS was not put back into service as it would have required another immediate power outage.
