The Serenity Prayer
I have been at Nebraska Wesleyan for 33 years. Before coming to NWU I worked at a nursing home for 12 years, then for 2 years at Ernie's in Ceresco. My husbands name is Tom, we have a son Chris. We enjoy our German Shorthair Trav, taking drives in the country on low maintenance roads. We use to rescue orphaned baby squirrels. I enjoy taking pictures of old barns, houses, vehicles & creeks. I also enjoy writing poems, decorating my house for holidays, dressing up for Halloween & crafts. I like to make others happy by sharing my pictures, poems or a hug. Spending time with family and friends makes me happy. Fall is my favorite time of year, the colors are so beautiful.
I have a certificate in Forensic Science that I received from NWU in 2003. I have taken English I and two poetry classes. I have attended trainings on Clery, RCRA, EPA, recycling, mold awareness, asbestos, MSDS, bloodborne pathogens, critical incident & planning, fire & water damage, ergonomics and safety. I have also attended workshops on being a woman in a supervisor role and many trainings on proper cleaning.
I try to help out with charities and fundraisers within our Wesleyan community as much as possible. I use to support the Japanese nursing program in the summer. I have lead a team for the Relay for Life here on campus.
I received the CORE award at NWU. I was a volunteer EMT/ firefighter for 20 years in Ceresco where I had held the postions of Secretary, Training Officer and Rescue Chief.
