NWU Adds New Majors in High-demand Career Fields
Beginning this fall, Nebraska Wesleyan students can choose from four new majors:
- Data analytics offers concentrations in advanced data analytics, business, computer science, cybersecurity, project management and supply chain management.
- Digital marketing provides the skills to develop as a content creator, clear communicator and analytical thinker.
- Financial planning prepares students to take the Certified Financial Planning exam to become a financial advisor or planner. NWU is one of only two schools in the state to offer the financial planning major.
- Project management teaches the leadership, communication, and technical skills to successfully manage complex projects in any organization.
These market-responsive and innovative academic programs connect students to growing professional fields. All four feature the traditional Nebraska Wesleyan experience enhanced with select online courses taught by national experts.
Nebraska Wesleyan’s advanced online courses are offered through our partnership with fellow members of the Council of Independent Colleges. This consortium helps schools offer a wider range of specialized courses through a national network of faculty.
The new majors are more examples of how NWU innovates to set students up for careerlong success. This same culture of academic innovation is why NWU students study abroad at 18 times the national rate and are twice as likely to get into medical school. It’s why you can recommend Nebraska Wesleyan to your students with confidence.
