Whereas the Administration receives requests to serve alcohol at events held on Nebraska Wesleyan University property;
Therefore be it resolved that
The Board of Governors authorizes the Administration to implement the following guidelines related to serving alcoholic beverages on Nebraska Wesleyan University sites:
- In general, alcoholic beverages are not served at Nebraska Wesleyan University public events.
- The Administrative Council of the university must approve in advance all proposed events where alcohol will be served.
- Public intoxication and/or disruptive behavior related to the consumption of alcoholic beverages will not be tolerated.
- All serving of alcohol must be handled by a third-party contractor who will verify that all persons consuming alcohol have a valid ID that contains their date of birth and shows that he/she is not a minor.
- The third-party contracHtor will provide only beer and wine.
- No alcohol may be transported out of the designated area for each event.
