Wesleyan to Hold Candlelight Vigil and Prayer Service for Japan

Published

Nebraska Wesleyan will hold a candlelight vigil and brief prayer service Wednesday, March 16 for victims of last week's earthquake and tsunami in Japan. It will be held at 9 p.m. on the front steps of Smith-Curtis Administration Building, a block east of 50th St. and St. Paul Ave.

Steve Wills, Assistant Professor of History, will share information on how this tragedy is affecting the people of Japan and will talk about the efforts happening on campus to support the people of Japan financially through the Red Cross (cash donations will be accepted Wednesday night).

Students and other members of the Nebraska Wesleyan community will lead prayers and thoughts as we come together in support for all those affected by the natural disasters in Japan.

Please join us in this unified showing of support.
