Nebraska Wesleyan University will celebrate homecoming September 19-22, which also happens to coincide with the closing of our 125th anniversary.
While homecoming is a special time for alumni to reconnect with our campus, it also provides a special opportunity for University College students and your families to celebrate Nebraska Wesleyan.
Activities begin Thursday, September 19 with an honorary degree ceremony for two long-time friends of the university, Willis and Joyce Heim. That ceremony will be followed by an ice cream social at the Old Main Amphitheatre for all faculty, staff, and students.
We have several activities planned throughout the four-day event including a campus blood drive (8 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday; your participation will be added to our year-long 12,500 Hour Service Challenge that concludes that day); alumni academies, which provide an opportunity to sit in on a fun class (3:30 p.m. Friday), golf cart parade, outdoor tailgate and carnival (10:45 a.m. Saturday), football game (1 p.m. Saturday), and a pops concert (5 p.m. Sunday).
Be sure to register for any events of interest so we have adequate food counts.
