The artistic talents of Nebraska Wesleyan University senior art majors are on display at Elder Gallery’s annual Senior Art Exhibition.
The exhibit runs through Saturday, May 12. Students will give gallery talks about their exhibit during the NWU Student Research Symposium on Wednesday, May 2 from 2 to 3 p.m.
The exhibit features the work of three seniors and includes ceramics, drawings, and oil paintings.
Elder Gallery is located in the Rogers Center for Fine Arts, 50th Street and Huntington Ave. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m.
Senior artists who are featured in the exhibit are:
Stephanie Pitcher
Pitcher’s work focuses on dark humor through large-scale drawings done with pencil and marker. She often recreates classic Disney characters in obscure settings.
Natasia Otto-Berglund
Otto-Berglund enjoys working with several media, particularly ceramics and drawing. She draws precise abstractions and creates delicate porcelain vessel ceramics.
Whitney Williams
Williams is an oil painter. Her senior exhibits focus on portraiture, specifically painting Polaroid photographs.
