NWU Theater Retells Classic Shakespeare Comedy Through Musical "Illyria"

Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Theatre Department continues its salute to William Shakespeare with the musical comedy, “Illyria.”

“Illyria” is the musical retelling of Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” that celebrates passion, romance, love and lunacy through a classic love triangle.

Performances will be held March 17-19 and March 31-April 2 at 7:30 p.m. with matinee shows on March 20 and April 3 at 2 p.m. All performances will be held in McDonald Theatre, located at 51st Street and Huntington Ave.

Tickets are $17.50 for adults and $10 for seniors and students. Tickets can be purchased online at theatre.nebrwesleyan.edu or reserve them by calling the box office at 402.465.2384.

Nebraska Wesleyan is marking the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death with an entire season of shows written or inspired by the Bard.
