Dr. Linda Hardy has been named the new Director of Nursing at Nebraska Wesleyan University.

Hardy has taught at Nebraska Wesleyan since 2004. She earned both her BSN and MSN at Nebraska Wesleyan and her Ph.D in nursing education from the University of Northern Colorado.

Earlier this year Hardy taught a master’s-level nursing theories course at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She has presented her research on cultural competence of nurses at numerous conferences across the country. She is also active with the American Red Cross.

“My goal is to maintain the rigor and quality of the BSN and MSN nursing programs at all of our sites, and well as explore further opportunities to expand through new programs and new educational sites,” said Hardy.

Nebraska Wesleyan currently offers BSN and MSN nursing programs and a post-master’s certificate in nursing at both the University’s Lincoln campus and Omaha site. This summer, NWU announced a new partnership with Iowa Western Community College to offer the BSN program in Council Bluffs and Clarinda, Iowa. Classes at all of NWU’s locations meet one day a week, and courses are offered in eight-week sessions.
