The following FAQ is provided to help answer any questions there may be about the Weary Center Pool. If you have additional questions, you may send an email to wearycenter [at] nebrwesleyan.edu (wearycenter[at]nebrwesleyan[dot]edu)

Who can use the pool?
All current undergraduate students, faculty and staff may use the pool during open recreational swim times. Users must check in at the Weary Center Front Desk with a valid NWU ID card or FOB.

 

When is the pool available for swim?
Pool hours may vary by semester. Current pool hours are available on cards at the Front Desk to take with you, or you may call the Weary Center Front Desk at (402) 465-2172 during Open Rec hours.

 

Certified lifeguards are on deck at all times the pool is open.

 

WHEN IS FAMILY TIME?
Family Time is designed to provide faculty, staff and students with children an opportunity to recreate as a family. Only immediate family members may participate in family time.

 

Family Time Hours
Saturdays: 1:00 pm  - 5:00pm (pool hours for Family Time on Saturdays will close at 4:30pm)
Sundays: 1:00pm - 5:00pm

 

*Family Time hours will only be held during the Fall and Spring semesters.

*Family Time hours will not be held when the Weary Center is closed for Open Recreation.

*A Family Time Form must be completed prior to the first Family Time participation each semester.

 

Does the Weary Center offer Swim Lessons?

Starting in the Fall 2011 semester, the Weary Center is offering swim lessons for faculty and staff members and their children. For more information regarding swim lessons and availability, please contact:

What types of equipment can I check out to use in the pool?

A variety of equipment is available for checkout in the pool. Goggles, kickboards, swimfins and other equipment is available to check out by the lifeguard stand.

 


How many lanes does the pool have? How long are the lanes?
The Weary Center pool has six lanes available for swimming. Each lane is 25 yards in length.

 

Does the Weary Center provide towels for the pool area?
No. Users must provide their own towels.
