Each year the Society of Health and Physical Educators (SHAPE) of Nebraska partners with higher education institutions across the state to recognize outstanding students in education and the human performance field. Each individual was nominated by their respective institution for their outstanding work. This year SHAPE Nebraska recognized 24 individuals from seven Nebraska post-secondary institutions. Five of the individuals recognized were Nebraska Wesleyan students.

Assistant Professor of Health and Human Service Lacey Batt Peters was also honored with a Service Award for her contributions, service and leadership to the health and physical education field in Nebraska.

Congratulations to Professor Peters and all the student recognized with these prestigious awards! Your hard work and dedication to the field does not go unnoticed.
