Elder Gallery Exhibit Features Senior Art Students

    Elder Gallery's final art exhibit of the year will feature the work of seniors Casey Callahan, Emma Carlson, Kurstin Dean, and Joelle Sandfort. The exhibit runs April 24th through May 5th.

Nebraska Wesleyan University’s final art exhibition of the year will feature the work of its graduating art students.

The exhibit, titled “Loading,” will run from Tuesday, April 24ththrough Saturday, May 5th. An opening reception will be held on Friday, April 27thfrom 5 to 7 p.m. in Elder Gallery, located inside the Rogers Center for Fine Arts at 50thStreet and Huntington Ave. 

The following seniors will be features:

  • Casey Callahan —Omaha, Neb. Painting that explores digital manifestation of memory.
  • Emma Carlson — Waterloo, Neb. Water color, oil pastels and ink including an illustrated children’s book, “The Little Kite that Lost His Flight.”
  • Kurstin Dean —Lincoln, Neb. Ceramic gourd vessels and small ceramic discs with a flower mandala image.
  • Joelle Sandfort —Lincoln, Neb. Painting and installation including handmade books using leftover studio materials.

Elder Gallery is open Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
