A collection of art and stories from private collections of artists and administrators will go on display in Elder Gallery’s latest exhibit, “Private Made Public.”

The exhibit runs January 20-February 22 in Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Elder Gallery, located inside the Rogers Center of Fine Arts, 50th Street and Huntington Ave. A reception will be held Friday, February 6 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Included in the exhibit are collections from Tom Bolin, artist and collector; David Gracie, associate professor of art at Nebraska Wesleyan University; Neil Griess, artist; Aaron Holz, associate professor of art at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; Keith Jacabshagen, artist and professor emeritus at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; Ben Moore, assistant professor of art at Luther College; Christin Mamiya, associate dean, Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; and Fred Ohles, president of Nebraska Wesleyan University.

The exhibit was curated by Byron Anway, gallery preparator for Elder Gallery. Anway has taught in the U.S. and abroad. In 2011 he earned his MFA degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he also lectures.
