Nebraska Wesleyan University’s current Elder Gallery exhibit features the artistic talents of the school’s student body.
The 2011 Juried Student Exhibition continues now through February 27. The juror was Andy Smith of the Joslyn Art Museum’s Education Department.
Megan McClintic’s oil pen on canvas piece titled “note” was named “best of show.” McClintic is a junior from David City.
Drew Curtright, a sophomore from Lincoln, received the “faculty choice” award for his copper work titled “necklace.”
The honorable mention award went to Tim Brawner, a first year student from Omaha. His entry titled “pthesis typography” features pen and ink.
