Elder Gallery Exhibit Features Artist's Take on Western Landscape

Lincoln artist Craig Roper brings his take on growing up in the contemporary west to the next Elder Gallery exhibit, “My Western Landscape.”

The exhibit opens Tuesday, April 1 and continues through Friday, April 25. An opening reception will be held Friday, April 4 from 5 to 7:30 p.m., with an artist talk at 6:30 p.m.

Roper’s exhibit features a variety of art based on unique symbols, myths and surprises experienced in growing up and living in the contemporary west. Roper has exhibited his work throughout Nebraska as well as in Florida, New York, California, and internationally in Holland.

The exhibit it free and open to the public. Elder Gallery is open Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m. The gallery is closed on Monday.
