The artistic talents of high school students are being showcased at Nebraska Wesleyan’s third annual juried art exhibition “Bridge.”

Nebraska Wesleyan’s Department of Art is hosting Bridge January 17-February 5. High school seniors from the region were invited to submit artwork to be considered for the exhibition. The students were honored at a reception on Sunday, January 22. Gabrielle Patrick of Grant won "best of show" and a $10,000 scholarship to study visual art at NWU. Katie Samson of Omaha was also awarded a $10,000 scholarship to study visual art at NWU.

Twenty students were selected for the exhibition, which features a variety of mediums including digital photography, photography, collage, drawing, painting, sculpture, and more.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m. Elder Gallery is located in the Rogers Center for Fine Arts, 50th Street and Huntington Ave.
